So, last night I couldn't sleep, so I put on
Blood of the Daleks because Paul McGann has a rather nice voice. Listening to it, I learned that the Daleks are kinda mildly frightening in audio format. Especially when they are going "We will help you evacuate your planet. We Daleks understand what it is to be persecuted. Just load your population onto our ships." Because Daleks are not fluffy caring helpful creatures.
So that ended on a cliffhanger and didn't help sleepyness at all. So I turn on the radio. And listen to a dramatic re-telling of the Three Mile Island accident.
THen I drift to sleep. A storm comes through in the night. In the early morning, there is a huge clap of thunder, which knocks out the power, just for a second, but enough that it resets my microwave, which beeps alarmingly when the power comes back to it.
So I fell asleep listening to a nuclear meltdown, I wake up to hear a loud explosion, then an electronic alarm screaming for attention.
And that was 1.5 hours before I had to be awake.
It was not a relaxing way to start the day.
Which then continued as the previous post. Now I've calmed down a bit through my favourite method for inducing giggles: Watching vids involving John Barrowman on youtube.
